Top places to see all around the world

My best picks for travel destinations that i believe must be visited at least once. Northern Europe and especially Sweden is an amazing travel destination. Gothenburg, Sweden – Sweden’s second city, Gothenburg may be at heart an industrial port city, but its wide avenues, leafy parks, world-class museums and lively student population make it an atmospheric place to spend a weekend. Hop on one of the fun and efficient trams that criss-cross the city to visit its many parks, galleries and attractive regenerated neighbourhoods, or leap on a ferry and venture further afield to explore the islands of the southern archipelago.

Top Vancouver locations : Beyond the ornate Millennium Gate marking its entrance, Vancouver’s exotic and interesting Chinatown features modern buildings amid many older ones dating from Victorian times. Signs at shops and restaurants are often written in Chinese characters, particularly along East Pender, Keefer, and Main streets – the main shopping areas. Local attractions include the pretty walled Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden, modeled after a traditional garden from the Ming Dynasty. Also worth seeing is the Sam Kee Building, which at barely two meters wide claims to be the narrowest office building in the world. Every year, Chinese New Year is celebrated with an excellent parade.

Staying in London at least once should be on the check list of any person who likes to see the world. Another great Thames-side attraction, Hampton Court is one of Europe’s most famous palaces. Its Great Hall dates from Henry VIII’s time (two of his six wives supposedly haunt the palace), and it’s where Elizabeth I learned of the defeat of the Spanish Armada. Other interesting features include the Clock Court with its fascinating astronomical clock dating from 1540, the State Apartments with their Haunted Gallery, the Chapel, the King’s Apartments, and the Tudor tennis court. The gardens are also worth visiting – especially in mid-May when in full bloom – and include the Privy Garden, the Pond Garden, the Elizabethan Knot Garden, the Broad Walk, an area known as the Wilderness, and of course, the palace’s famous Maze.

Mexico is a fabulous place if you are looking for adventure and ancient history exploration. El Templo de Santa Prisca, or the Santa Prisca Church, is a magnificent Baroque structure located in the city of Taxco. Built in the 18th century, the church is a colonial landmark that was commissioned by a prosperous Spanish mine owner. Made from pink stone, boasting large twin towers and decorated with tiles, this is an ornate monument that no architecture enthusiast would want to miss. Inside, nine enormous altarpieces stretch from the floor to the ceiling, and each is covered in gold. More info about hotel bookings.

Spanish Steps – A truly monumental stairway of 135 steps, the Spanish Steps were built with French funds between 1721-1725 in order to link the Bourbon Spanish embassy to the Holy See with the French church, Trinit? dei Monti. The steps are usually very crowded attracting tourists as well as locals who use it as a gathering place. Each year in May the steps are decorated with pink azaleas. At the foot of the Spanish Steps is the Piazza di Spagna (Spanish square) and the Fontana della Barcaccia, a sober fountain designed by Gian Lorenzo Bernini.

Cancun and the surrounding area is really well-known for its hidden underwear world. In fact, the underground rivers that flow in the Yucatan Peninsula are the longest network of underground rivers and caves in the world. There are a few places near Cancun where you can enjoy this network of crystal clear water, the most popular place being Xcaret (which is home to a plethora of unique activities).

Xcaret has three rivers you can float down and the slow-moving water is perfect for laying back and relaxing. A great break from the beach without being too far from the water.

Africa is a fascinating place if you are looking for raw wildlife exploration. The “big seven” safari destinations in Africa are South Africa (for Kruger National Park and Sabi Sand Game Reserve), Tanzania (for Serengeti National Park and Ngorogoro Crater), Kenya (the Masai Mara), Botswana (the Okavango Delta) and Zambia, Zimbabwe and Namibia. Australian travellers don’t need tourist visas to visit South Africa, Botswana or Namibia; Kenya, Tanzania, Zambia and Zimbabwe issue tourist visas on arrival. Make sure you have at least two blank pages in your passport; you can be refused entry if there’s not enough space for an arrival stamp. For cheap flights please see https://travelsfriendly.com/.
